Lundy is looking for an assistant ranger for the second half of the sailing season, starting as soon as possible until the end of October This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in island life while living and working on a high-profile site steeped in wildlife, history and archaeology. We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm, a love for islands, the great outdoors, and a flexible, friendly approach to become an integral part of the island’s conservation team. No specific qualifications or experience are necessary to apply. However, enthusiastic naturalists working towards a career in conservation will be well placed.

The role is a long-term residential position which supports the Island Ranger to deliver practical habitat management and estate maintenance. The role is highly varied, and a flexible approach is essential. The candidate will also be expected to undertake general island duties such as housekeeping, recycling and visitor engagement as required. 

Accommodation and all meals are provided free for the duration of the roles. Please note: The closing date for applications is 14th July, however applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
