Join Raptor Camp 2025 – Help Protect Migrating Birds!

BirdLife Malta is looking for passionate volunteers to help monitor bird migration and fight illegal hunting during our Raptor Camp this autumn.

Every year, millions of birds fly from Europe to Africa – many for the first time. But Malta remains a hotspot for illegal hunting, and these birds need your help to make it safely through.

Spend your days in the countryside spotting birds such as honey-buzzards, harriers and falcons, with the occasional eagle and stork. You'll help document migration, record illegal activities, and support bird conservation efforts on the ground.

No experience? No problem – training will be provided. Bird ID skills are helpful but not required. Drivers and team players especially welcome!

Important: Volunteers cover their own costs and stay at a hotel used by BirdLife Malta. Contact us before booking flights.

Be part of the change. Join Raptor Camp 2025.

The deadline for applications is 1st August 2025.
