Do you care about wildlife and want to do something to make a difference?

Would you like to use your financial skills to benefit nature?

We are looking for a Treasurer to join our team. Could it be you?

As the Treasurer for Plymouth Environmental Action (PEA), you will work as part of a friendly and supportive committee to assist in managing the running of the organisation. You will use your financial and accounting skills to oversee PEA’s finances, including monitoring the bank account along with a second signatory, managing the payment of invoices and expenses and keeping track of income and expenditure. You will also have a role in monitoring the spending of external funding and will be expected to report on finances to the committee at our monthly meetings.

What we are looking for in a Treasurer:

You will have a passion for the environment, as well as good financial management skills and an ability to work well in a team. Experience in managing the finances of a small organisation, working with committees or non profit organisations would be beneficial, but is not essential. We are looking for a Treasurer who can commit to regularly managing expenses etc, attend our monthly committee meetings and report on the finances of our organisation. Being based in or near Plymouth would be preferable, in order to build a local network, and would also offer the opportunity to combine this role with that of a Conservation Leader if desired (please see separate role description). However, this role could also be performed remotely by the right candidate.

Deadline: Midnight 6th May 2024
Interviews are likely to take place in the week commencing the 13th May 2024, in Plymouth.
