Introduction
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our Cairngorms Connect Partnership through the next phase of work in the most iconic landscape of the UK's largest national park. Cairngorms Connect is the UK's largest habitat restoration partnership, stretching over 600 square km from the rivers in the bottom of the strath up to the summit of our second highest mountain.
We have been working alongside local communities to expand our woodlands, repair our peatlands and re-naturalise our rivers for over 7 years. We are looking for an inspiring leader to take the partnership forwards into the next phase.
What's the role about?
The Senior Programme Manager will lead and manage our project team in our next phase of habitat restoration and to help secure funding for our ambitious work programme going forwards. You will promote and represent the partnership across the global stage and be an excellent communicator.
You will work closely with the local communities in the partnership, building support for our work and helping to create opportunities for local employment.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience of working with external stakeholders such as NGOs, agencies and private landowners
- Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes
- Experience of working within the land management or forestry sectors
- Experience of working to a standard programme management approach
- Experience of leading and managing multidisciplinary teams
- Diplomacy & negotiation skills
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- An ability to persuade and influence a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
This is a Permanent Full-Time role for 37.5 hours per week.
