ACT Peatland ACTION Project Officer

This post will be part of the ACT Peatland team, working as an externally hosted Peatland
ACTION project officer in Argyll. The role involves collaborating with partners, contractors,
and land managers to develop and implement peatland restoration projects as part of the
Peatland ACTION programme. Responsibilities include engaging with land managers, supporting
application development, and ensuring high-standard project execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver peatland restoration projects, assist with applications, and manage capital works.
- Liaise with stakeholders like NatureScot, Scottish Water, and Argyll & Bute Council.
- Assist in procuring contractors and achieving project milestones.
- Use QGIS for spatial data and maps in project design and monitoring.
- Conduct site visits and inspections.
- Produce reports and updates on project delivery.
