Job Purpose
To work with the Business Support Manager & Project Managers to provide administrative support across MEA, ensuring administrative procedures are optimised. This may include fuel poverty, energy efficiency, renewable energy and other carbon reduction measures, as well as H.R. administration, stock ordering, events planning and I.T. support liaison. The position provides an introduction to office and organization-wide working, encompassing a varied workload and opportunities to develop your understanding and skills with the rewarding charity-sector.
Job Description
- Undertake administrative duties, including:
- Co-ordinating office orders & deliveries
- Ensuring offices (especially stock area) are well organised and tidy.
- Overseeing the booking of equipment and additional office meeting space.
- Assisting the CEO with the organisation of staff Away Days, Christmas meals etc.
- Act as point of contact for IT issues.
- Assist the Business Support Manager with recruitment and induction, ensuring new staff have appropriate equipment and access to applications.
- Support the Data Reporting Manager to maintain high quality data in our CRM.
- Act as Office First Aider (training will be provided).
- Support the Director of Energy Services with GDPR queries and the Business Support Manager with administration relating to Health & Safety.
- Assist Project Managers with project administration.
- Assist the energy advice teams through dealing with enquiries and providing support to customers.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and the highest standards of customer and partner engagement.
- Assist with the delivery of the Key Performance Indicators and outcomes and outputs.
- Comply with all financial and administrative procedures as required by MEA.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Essential
- Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and external contacts to deliver high standards.
- Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to deliver excellent customer service and improve quality.
- Ability to prioritise and manage a diverse and time critical workload to deliver results.
- Ability to work as part of a team but to also work unsupervised.
- Proven track record of excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Good ITC skills.
- City & Guilds Level 3 In Energy Advice - support to achieve this will be given.
- Demonstrate the ability to think clearly and communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally.
- Ability to meet the travel needs of the post, which may include being able to travel to meetings, MEA’s offices and other places as required.

- You may work towards or gain further qualifications within the role.
Pay: £24,915
Location: The Pump House, Shrewsbury
Hours of work: Full time, 36.25 hours per week
Leave: 24 paid days pro-rata per annum + bank holidays.
Duration: Permanent
