Are you passionate about the environment and sustainability? Would you like to work in a role that makes a difference to how a company manages its environmental impact? We are looking for an Environmental Coordinator to join our Compliance team and play a key role in supporting and developing our Environmental Management Monitoring systems. 

You will be the central point of contact for all sampling analysis matters and provide advice and information to the team.  You will have the opportunity to further develop and manage a co-ordinated sampling and analysis system across all locations and departments.

You will be part of a supportive team who have experience of mentoring and coaching graduates and interns and who will help you to grow in your career. 

Main duties include:

  • Taking samples of wastes/products e.g. aggregates, ashes, filter cakes, compost and wastewater to the required standards, primarily within the minerals department but as required at various company or external locations;
  • Sourcing and communicating with external laboratories
  • Advising colleagues form various departments on the correct number/sampling techniques
  • Reviewing sampling protocols in compliance with latest guidance from SEPA/Revenue Scotland
  • Helping to develop sampling/tracking tools using excel 
  • Co-ordinating and storing reporting requirements for all departments
