Salary BG11: £38,626 - £40,476 pro rata
Contractual hours: Part time, 2 days per week (14.8 hours/ week), permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated ecologist to join our Parks Team and make a real difference for people and nature.
What will I be doing?
You will work with colleagues to ensure that works meet statutory requirements for the protection of habitats and species and align with best practice.
You will undertake nature-based surveys and commission specialist investigations.
You will be part of our ash dieback tree management and canopy recovery programme.
You will contribute to Bristol City Council’s ambitions for nature, supporting our Managing for Nature programme.
What do I need to have?
We are looking for someone educated to degree level in ecology or a related subject, with good experience of providing expert nature- conservation advice.
You will have direct experience of undertaking nature- based surveys and commissioning work.
You should be enthusiastic and motivated and be able to work as part of a team.
