The Regional Environment Advisor leads the environment team, ensuring integration with other teams to deliver core programmes like timber harvesting, restocking, civil engineering, and deer control, while maintaining environmental compliance. The role also develops strategic initiatives, including habitat creation for key species within and beyond National Forest boundaries. 

The Planning and Environment team supports the Region’s work by meeting stakeholder objectives, ensuring UK Forestry Standards and UKWAS accreditation, designing future forests, restoring habitats, and coordinating environmental programmes. 

To be successful in this role you will have experience of advising on and managing issues relating to European and UK protected and priority species and habitats and hold a qualification to degree level or equivalent in a relevant environmental or land management based subject;
