Hours To be agreed – applications will be welcome from those seeking less than our standard 35 hours per week (subject to a minimum 21 hours); hours of working are flexible
£39,337 rising to £44,274 per annum. The starting salary will be £39,337 with progress through the salary range linked to successful completion of probation period and our performance review process. Pro rata if fewer than 35 hours./ Pro rata if not full time. The post will also attract a contribution of 9% of annual salary to WCVA’s approved pension scheme.
Base: Flexible, the role will require regular travel across North Wales so will require the job holder to be based locally. We have office hubs in Aberystwyth, Cardiff and Rhyl that staff can utilise.
About the role
Social Investment Cymru (SIC) is Wales’ foremost social investor, and has recently been successful in securing the fund management contract for the voluntary sector element of Ambition North Wales’ Clean Energy Fund. You will have principal responsibility for successful delivery of this project.
As such, you will be very proactive in developing a pipeline of funding applications, building strong relationships across the six north Wales counties. The role will involve the interrogation of business plans and working with applicants to produce high quality lending proposals for presentation to an approval panel.
Post approval you will guide the funding through to drawdown. Thereafter you will remain the ‘relationship manager’ for the organisation, monitoring performance in line with funding conditions. You will become a trusted sounding board and source of information on relevant matters within the sector both internally to WCVA and externally.
You will take the lead on any future clean energy funding developed by SIC and where required, support the rest of the team with other funding proposals.
This post has a 5-year funded delivery contract.
