What you’ll be doing:

• Plan, deliver, and monitor biodiversity management across Anglian Water land, including Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) and other conservation areas.
• Procure and manage external consultants, contractors, and NGOs to implement habitat and species management interventions.
• Conduct and coordinate species and habitat surveys to establish baselines and track biodiversity improvements.
• Provide expert advice to internal teams on wildlife legislation and best practice land management.
• Support compliance with environmental regulations by maintaining records, conducting audits, and responding to breaches.
• Collaborate with operational teams, Biodiversity Champions, and other stakeholders to embed biodiversity into everyday practices.
• Maintain and update biodiversity data, GIS records, and reporting tools to support business performance and regulatory commitments.
• Contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) reporting and the delivery of Anglian Water’s Biodiversity Strategy.
• Develop internal communications and training materials to raise awareness and promote biodiversity initiatives.
• Represent Anglian Water in external partnerships, forums, and award submissions to showcase our environmental leadership.

• A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Full UK Driving licence due to travel required within the role.
• Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and habitat management.
• Experience in species and habitat surveys.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• A passion for nature and a drive to make a difference.
