Maintenance Lead Operative

Fife Coast and Countryside Trust (FCCT) are seeking a Maintenance Lead Operative to join our dynamic and effective Operations Team.
Contract Type: Fixed Term till 31st December 2026

About the role:
FCCT are looking for a Maintenance Lead Operative to predominantly plan, co-ordinate, carry out and supervise maintenance tasks on Multiple NHS sites (Fife wide) and other sites managed by FCCT.
About you:
We are looking for an adaptable and motivational individual to join our team. You will bring with you the following skills and experience:
- At least 24 months experience of working in a countryside / estate worker / landscaping role
- Certification in at least 2 of the following: Chainsaw, Brush cutter, digger, dumper, roller, pesticide application, woodchipper, tractor driving, large trailer towing, ATV’s, off-road driving, welding
- Computer skills of a standard capable of producing sound information/management reports
- A good understanding of Health & Safety at work
- A current First Aid certificate
- Experience in a supervisory role, showing an ability to guide and motivate others
- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with a wide range of people
- Good organisational skills demonstrating the ability to prioritise workloads and co-ordinate resources
- Willingness to undergo training in any of the required certificates or those deemed essential to the requirements of the role
- Enthusiasm for the role and flexibility to meet changing needs
- Adaptable and motivational team worker
- Driving Licence
- Flexible mindset
