About the role:
Friends of the Earth Scotland is seeking a Digital Content and Engagement Officer to develop and deliver compelling digital communications across our social media and digital platforms. This role has been created to increase the capacity and skills of the Communications and Engagement team, of which you will be an integral part.
You will play a key role in increasing support and driving engagement, for a wide range of campaigns, national and local, by providing engaging digital content and opportunities for action. This will include creating compelling video, static content and oversee social media channels to raise awareness of the organisation's ongoing work and campaigns, including our work to stop a new fossil fuel power station in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.
You will also work closely with the Movement Building team and campaigners to develop our supporters’ engagement, from coordinating email communications, developing the use of online platforms, engagement and recruitment purposes, and promoting events.
The postholder will provide ad hoc digital communications training, guidance and support for Friends of the Earth Scotland’s staff, members and volunteers and occasionally support the work of allies and related coalitions.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience working in a digital communications role. If you think you fit the role and have the skills, please apply!
