
Ecology Assistant
Astute Ecology
Working on various ecological projects at various locations around the country (based out of Staffordshire).
Assisting on protected species surveys particularly bat dusk emergence surveys.
Training will be provided via a training plan including a mixture of on-job, taught, and guided self learning.
This paid role would suit: those starting their career in ecology looking for full time work, Part time; students looking for adhoc and part time work, and those with a strong interest in wildlife conservation or looking to begin a new career path.
Essential:
- Enthusiasm and passion for Ecology and the Environment
- Wiling to travel and work away from home with overnight stays
Desirable:
- You have a relevant qualification (other qualifications and backgrounds will be considered)
- Live within 40 mins of Stone, Staffordshire
- Experience undertaking previous ecology surveys; Phase one and Two; particularly Bats, Birds, Amphibians, Reptiles and Botany.
- Natural England class license would be advantageous
- Specialist knowledge within a particular field of ecology
- Own car, driving licence and a confident driver.
