Farming in Protected Landscapes Officer (full time or job share, fixed term until March 2025)

The Forest of Bowland National Landscape Partnership is seeking to appoint a creative and self-motivated individual to the exciting role of Funding and Development Officer (Farming in Protected Landscapes).

This role will require the post holder to multi-task and often work to short deadlines or to set budgets. It requires team-working and partnership development by a highly motivated self-starter, who is also able to work alone and to a high standard of detail and precision:

  • To work with farmers and land managers to develop project ideas into applications to the Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme
  • To liaise with grant awardees to assist with delivery and monitoring of projects supported by the Farming in Protected Landscapes Programme

The successful candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent in environmental, conservation or related disciplines, with proven experience of project development; working with farmers and land managers to deliver conservation projects and programmes; and ideally a good understanding of current and historic agri-environment schemes.

For an informal discussion about the role, contact Tarja Wilson at [email protected]
