Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

The Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is a designated protected landscape. It is looked after by a partnership of local authorities, government agencies, conservation organisations and community groups (Blackdown Hills AONB Partnership), and by small team of staff based in Hemyock.

Our role is to conserve and enhance the natural beauty of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). We involve people and organisations in looking after this protected landscape, provide information about the area's special qualities and encourage people to visit and enjoy the area.
