Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group is a registered charity, a membership organisation and the leading provider of environmental management advice to farmers and landowners. We employ over 90 Farm Conservation Advisers covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland who are supported by a network of administrators, development staff and volunteers. The headquarters office is based in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
FWAG Advisers make over 6,000 chargeable and project funded visits to farmers and landowners each year. Many of these visits are to advise on applications to agri-environment schemes and in the first three years of Higher Level Stewardship FWAG secured over £200 million worth of funding for farmers. FWAG is a lead partner in the Campaign for the Farmed Environment, a voluntary initiative seeking to replace the environmental benefits previously provided by set-aside.
