Centre for Sustainable Energy

CSE helps people and organisations from the public, private and voluntary sectors meet the challenge of rising energy costs and climate change.

We do this by giving advice, managing innovative energy projects and undertaking research.

Our blend of experience, expertise and independence is unique in the energy field and makes us an attractive partner for householders, communities, government bodies, businesses, schools, researchers and non-governmental organisations.

At any one time we have as many as 50-60 different and separately funded projects under way. All of these are helping people and communities to meet real needs for both environmentally sound and affordable energy services.

CSE is a national charitable company (no 298740) that was established in 1979 and has a staff of over 40. Our funders and clients include national, regional and local government and associated agencies, energy companies and charitable sources.
