The RFS is one of the largest woodland educational charities in the UK. Founded in 1882, the RFS promotes the wise management of trees and woodlands so that they can be better protected, improved and expanded.
The RFS is a membership-based charity which depends on membership subscriptions to fund its work.
Our members include woodland owners, managers, arboriculturists, foresters, ecologists, conservationists, students and interested amateurs. There are many opportunities for RFS members to get involved, learn, network, socialise and visit woods with people who are also interested to know more about the management of trees and woodlands and to support our wider educational activities.
