Course: Wildflowers - An Introduction

In this beginner’s half-day wildflower course, you will start your journey to identifying the common wildflowers that colour the British landscape in spring and summer.
This course will include:
- Understanding simple wildflower biology and recognising features that will allow you to identify them.
- Practical experience identifying some of the most common wildflower species with an expert tutor.
This course will enable you to build skills in identifying wildflower families in the field, in the presence of an expert tutor. You will go out into the field and observe the wide variety that can be found.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Understand how wildflowers fit into the plant kingdom
- Explain the basic functions of different parts of a wildflower
- Recognise key characteristics of some of the most common wildflowers
