Course: Leader of Outdoor Learning: Level 2
Derbyshire Wildlife Trust
More and more evidence shows that outdoor learning provides many direct and indirect benefits for children's development and academic abilities. Creating opportunities for outdoor learning is also a great way to enhance a school's green credentials as part of climate action plans and to inspire the next generation of nature champions.
The AIM Qualifications Leader in Outdoor Learning Level 2 award is designed to equip teachers with the skills, knowledge and confidence to to take your learning into nature, using your school grounds or local greenspaces as your classroom. You will learn the benefits of learning outdoors, what your grounds and natural spaces offer for delivering the primary curriculum, risk-benefit assessment, how to look after your site and how to encourage children to take action for nature.
