UpRising and Shropshire Wildlife Trust are looking for young people, aged 18-25 and based in the West Midlands, to take part in an Environmental Leadership Programme (ELP2).

On ELP2 you will gain the KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, NETWORKS and CONFIDENCE to reach your leadership potential through delivering a group campaign on an environmental issue of your choice!

• Want to be surrounded by others who also care about the environment?

Who are we?

• UpRising is a youth leadership development organisation and recognised as a pioneering charity promoting issues of social mobility and equality.
• Shropshire Wildlife Trust has a vision of a thriving natural world, where Shropshire's wildlife and natural habitats play a valued role in addressing the climate and ecological emergencies, and people are inspired and empowered to take action for nature.
• Thanks to National Lottery players, UpRising's expertise in engaging underrepresented youth will be combined with Shropshire Wildlife Trust's experience in outdoor learning to create ELP2.

What is ELP2?

• ELP2 is an exciting Environmental Leadership Programme that focuses on Nature Connection and behavioural change.
• It's a FREE opportunity to take part in a 9 month programme, designed specifically around current environmental topics.
• This flexible, hybrid programme will feature knowledge and skills sessions, access to exciting organisations and speakers, in-person meet ups and the chance to run a campaign - supported by our staff and expert volunteers.

What do I need to know?

• No experience necessary - just an interest in the environment and a desire to enact positive change.
• 9 month programme running from October 2024-July 2025.
• Supportive environment in which to thrive.
• Hybrid programme, which will include visits to Shropshire Wildlife Trust's site, Parliament, West Midlands Combined Authority and more.
• Online sessions via Zoom, with all information recorded so you can go back to it whenever you like.
