Would you like to inspire children with the wonder of nature and wildlife found in Devon?

A Touch of the Wild Forest School runs a variety of exciting activities at Grammarcombe woods, near Exeter. 

We’re looking for volunteers to help at our Holiday Club, Woodland Adventure Club.

Volunteers will be supporting the delivery of fun days in the woods for children aged 5-13. You’ll need experience of working with children or young people, and feel confident supporting groups in nature-based activities.

If you’re interested in delivering outdoor learning, have enthusiasm, dedication and excellent communication skills this is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience. A love of the great outdoors and own transport is essential!

Training provided, with opportunities to learn skills including; bushcraft, green woodwork, plant ID etc. 

Volunteers working with vulnerable adults or children will need to take a DBS check that will be carried out and paid for by A Touch of the Wild.



October: 23rd – 26th
December: 18th – 21st 


February: 12th - 15th
April: 2nd-5th & 8th-11th
May: 7th - 10th

Volunteers are not required to make a commitment to regular days a week, although this would be helpful.
