Are you Instinctively Wild?
We are a social enterprise that specialises in reconnecting people through an experience with nature. We do this through a wide variety of projects, such as eco-therapy for adults, Forest Schools for children/youth and team-building for companies.
Our summer activity weeks
We are currently looking for volunteers to help us run 'Eco-Kidz' which is a Forest School based summer activity week programme at Yellowcraig, East Lothian, (nr North Berwick) 8th - 11th August 2022, 9-5pm for children 8-14yrs old.
For everyone coming on to a project, we do a full day's induction training so that volunteers can begin to experience what we do on an activity week and understand their roles and responsibilities. If you choose to stay on beyond the summer activity week and volunteer on other projects, then we can look at funding for training.
Ideally you’ll be aged 18+, based in Edinburgh/East Lothian and have a passion for nature/the outdoors and enjoy working with other people and as part of a team.
As we are working with vulnerable groups, we have a thorough vetting procedure, which involves an initial meeting, application form with references and a PVG application (police check).
How to get involved
In the first instance, please contact Pete for a Volunteer Induction Booklet, which will give you greater insight into the role and our volunteer-recruitment procedure. Please can you make reference to environmentjob.co.uk in your email.
We do pay travel expenses.
We look forward to hearing from you!
