Surrey Docks Farm is a working city farm and charity that enables the whole community to learn about farming, food production and the natural environment. We run a range of educational projects targeted to engage those who would benefit most, we are supported by hundreds of  volunteers who help keep the Farm running.

Greenagers is a free weekly club for children aged 14-18 to get involved with all aspects of a working farm. Young people help with mucking out and caring for animals, growing their own food, learning about environmental conservation, cooking and traditional craft activities; alongside a focus on youth-led social action projects and development of employability skills. We have two groups of eight-ten local young people who attend a set morning or afternoon slot every Saturday.

This volunteer role provides a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in outdoor education, youth work and development of young people; as well as engaging in a meaningful activity giving back to their community.

Experience with animals, gardening, cooking or crafts is useful, but FAR more important is a person who is enthusiastic, patient and interested in enabling our young people to thrive and develop.

We’re recruiting for a new volunteer to support our Greenagers youth club every Saturday morning from 9:45am – 12:45pm.

How to apply:
