RSPB Aylesbeare Common is part of the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths SSSI and NNR, a unique geological feature & one of the largest areas of lowland heath in the country. Work with our volunteers, partners & other heathland managers to help with the management of this internationally important reserve. Gain the skills & experience that will help you get a job in nature conservation. Assisting in all aspects of our work, you’ll learn practical habitat management, livestock/estate work, wildlife survey & help with visitor engagement. Make a genuine contribution to wildlife conservation, gaining a valuable insight into the UK's largest nature conservation charity. You must be enthusiastic, work well in a team with a keen interest in wildlife & conservation. The ability to undertake strenuous manual labour & work outdoors in all weathers helps!

This is a 6-12 month placement. Minimum age 18, with a driving licence. Accommodation and training provided.
