Croydon Community Energy is looking to train volunteers to become local energy champions to support those in fuel poverty.

We are looking for people from all backgrounds, professions and experiences who want to make a difference in Croydon. With energy prices soaring and benefit cuts, more people than ever will be struggling to choose between heating and eating.

CCE is looking to launch a support service to provide free advice to those in fuel poverty, low-income households, social housing tenants and anyone in need of help. This could involve looking at energy bills, home visits to see what measures could be implemented to improve insulation, supporting with grant applications and more.

All training will be provided, desirable (but not necessary) skills include:

  • Ability to speak other languages
  • Level 3 Energy Awareness qualification
  • Experience working with vulnerable people
  • DBS check

We can also cover your reasonable expenses.
