Natural England are offering an exciting opportunity for two volunteers to join the Wiltshire team and gain essential skills in habitat management, practical conservation, surveying and monitoring, and livestock husbandry.

The role will be two days a week for twelve months, during which you will receive training and qualifications allowing you to make your first step towards gaining employment in the land management sector.

The Volunteer Reserve Warden will be based predominantly at Parsonage Down National Nature Reserve which is a 480-acre chalk grassland site and working organic beef and lamb farm. There will also be opportunities to volunteer at other Wiltshire NNRs, including Pewsey Downs and Langley Wood.

This is a dual-purpose role complementing practical work with surveying and monitoring, with surveying occurring mainly through the spring/summer months.
