Would you like to get closer to nature? Do you love wildlife? Need more time outdoors? Want to learn some new skills? Have skills to offer?

At Embercombe, we are embarking on a year of exciting wildlife surveying on our wild land to find out what we already live alongside, and to help us monitor what changes are happening as the land regenerates.

We are looking for local Devon volunteers to get involved with regular species surveys and monitoring. From butterflies, birds and bats to moths, mushrooms and reptiles we are hoping to record as much information as we can. All data collected will also contribute to local and national recording schemes where they exist.

You do not need to be a specialist or have any skills in wildlife identification already… just eagle eyes and some time to commit to being on our wild land on a regular basis (weekly or monthly). All training and equipment provided by our team.

We are also interested to hear from anyone who has specialist skills and would be willing to contribute to gathering information about our land., photographs, drone footage, plant, bird, invertebrate and mammal surveys in particular.
