Do you want to help tackle the climate and ecological crisis? Maybe you’re a seasoned campaigner – or perhaps you’ve become concerned about the emergency more recently and want to offer skills you’ve gained elsewhere. We are a team of volunteers working hard to get a game changing parliamentary bill passed into UK law. Our vision is of a fossil-free future and a recovering natural world. And we want everyone to have a fair say in how we get there. Our strategy combines direct political engagement with mass mobilisation.

Press co-ordinator

This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, media-savvy professional to be involved with a game-changing piece of environmental legislation.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has communications experience gained within a PR agency or an in-house press office, alternatively you may be a journalist looking to switch sides;
  • Has media relations experience and comes with existing relationships with the environment media at national and trade press;
  • Is agile and responsive, demonstrating an ability to keep on top of environment news and the implications for the Bill;
  • Is passionate about the media and current affairs, and can craft media angles and stories and adapt them to different targets as required;
  • Is intellectually curious with ambition, drive, and commitment to great results;
  • Has exceptional writing and communications skills;
  • Is a self-starting, high energy multi-tasker, with impeccable time management skills

Getting press coverage is absolutely key for our campaign. You'll be able to link our campaigns and the press by pulling stories from our supporters, campaigners and research, and pitching to journalists at far-reaching publications.
