Sectors: conservation & wildlife

Closing date: Sunday, 6th December 2020

Trees for Cities is looking for enthusiastic young Londoners to join our first London Youth Panel.

The Youth Panel will be a place for young people to:

  • Share their ideas and feelings about climate change, nature and making cities greener.
  • Learn about the benefits of urban trees and the threats they face today.
  • Learn how to plan and deliver their own social action projects about trees.

Through online workshops and creative tasks, the Youth Panel will make a toolkit called: ‘Generation Tree: How young people can plant, protect and promote urban trees.’

This opportunity is open for any person living in London between the ages of 10 – 20. Activities will be defined for separate age groups as the age range is broad but the panel will come together to explore topics and share their work and ideas.

Panellists will need to be available to join monthly Zoom sessions on Thursdays at 6pm – 7pm from December 2020 - April 2021.

This project is kindly supported by the London Community Foundation. Future activities will seek to include young people from across the U.K.
