We are looking for an enthusiastic person to take over the leadership of our family wildlife watch group.

We meet once a month in different places around the south hams (and sometimes further afield) and do activities such as pond dipping, woodland conservation, bird watching, studying owl pellets among many other things. (no meetings August and December)

Tasks that the leader would be responsible for:

  • Planning and creating a programme of events for each month. (with assistance from assistant leaders)
  • Taking bookings for the event, via emails (there is a dedicated email address)
  • Preparing for events - recce's, risk assessments, preparing resources. (supported by assistant leaders)
  • Leading events (welcoming members, introducing the event, sometimes leading the events)
  • Co-ordinating the assistant leaders (they assist with the events, sometimes lead the event and deal with finance)
