We are currently recruiting schools and volunteer coordinators for our research sites at various locations. We have vacancies available for between 4-8 weeks within the months of June and early August.

The position will involve working with volunteers (both university and teachers/school students) in the field to create and ensure schedules are implemented, assist in explaining various survey techniques and the aims and objectives of Operation Wallacea at that research site, be a main point of contact for any questions and queries and provide a degree of pastoral care.

Applicants should have experience of working in the field, good communication and organisational skills and preferably a biological background. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build upon their field experience.

In return, successful applicants receive full accommodation and food onsite, networking and skills development, flight bursaries for more experienced candidates, and of course the opportunity to contribute towards long-term conservation efforts.

The positions will be filled as and when we find suitable candidates so if you are interested please apply as soon as you can to give yourself the best chance. The positions do involve working with minors so if successful you will be asked to complete a background check.

If you wish to apply for this role, fill out our application form at: jobs.opwall.com/job/volunteer-coordinator
