Are you interested in protecting the environment? Would you like to attend some of the best events in North Yorkshire to help us to promote our campaigns? Or would you like to be involved in planning and leading workshops that help children to learn about home composting and the benefits of reducing food waste? If so volunteering with the North Yorkshire Rotters could be for you!

The North Yorkshire Rotters are volunteers that help their community to learn about ways to reduce waste and also save money. By promoting the Love Food Hate Waste and Home Composting campaigns volunteers can help their community to reduce the amount of waste, save up to £60 per month and help the environment too! As a Volunteer Project Assistant there are opportunities to teach about home composting at events and help to develop the ‘mini wormery’ workshops that we deliver to schools and community groups in the area.

Skills or experience required?:

Volunteers should have good communication skills and be willing to volunteer as part of a small and friendly team. An interest in waste prevention and the environment is beneficial. A volunteer handbook and role specific training is provided.
