Role description

We regularly hold events on the reserve to encourage visitors to get closer to nature and learn more about the wildlife at Sandwell. They are also an important way of helping the RSPB grow its support for nature by delivering a great visitor experience. Annual events include bat and moth nights, bird ringing and family favourites like Easter egg hunts.

You will be helping our visitor experience team by helping us deliver events on the nature reserve. You might be welcoming visitors, pond dipping or taking payment. The event activities vary every time and you will help us make them a success.

You will also help by setting up activities in the first place and then helping us clear away afterwards.

RSPB membership really is the lifeblood of the Society and underpins every single thing we do. It helps us fund nature conservation work here and across the UK - not only the ongoing land management of our reserves but also by creating and enhancing magnificent wild spaces for nature and people to enjoy. It is therefore important that you can inspire people about the work we do and warm them up to the idea of membership.

Skills required

We just need you to come with bags of enthusiasm and an interest in wildlife and the outdoors; we can supply and training you might need.
Experience of working with children would be helpful as our events are often family focused.
