City of Trees is pleased to offer an opportunity for motivated individual to benefit from up to 6 months’ work experience in the area of community engagement with the community forestry sector

What work does the post involve?

The placement will be carrying out a variety of office, site and event based work and activities. By assisting the City of Trees team, they will be asked to help with research, practical activities such as tree planting and woodland management, site assessments, maintaining tools and equipment, project management and public engagement events. At such events, the APO will also assist with the supervision of volunteers, school children and community groups. The City of Trees team has many different ongoing projects and the post holder will gain a good breadth of experience across many areas of community forestry.

There will be occasional events/meetings that will fall on weekends or evenings.

A subsistence allowance of up to £5 per day is available as well as payment of travel costs of up to £5 per day. All volunteering related travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Duration of Placement: From October 2019 to March 2020 (6 months)
