Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) - Volunteer Placement

A fabulous opportunity to gain hands on experience in a range of conservation projects; this role offers the chance to hone your practical skills and conservation knowledge whilst getting to know what makes the Dedham Vale and Suffolk Coast & Heaths AONBs special.

You’ll be part of a small and dedicated team committed to delivering a wide range of landscape conservation and enhancement projects across 2 nationally designated landscapes. In this role you will have the opportunity to get involved in regular practical conservation tasks and provide general project support such as site surveys, mapping and project administration.

Previous experience isn’t essential but you will need a flexible and enthusiastic approach and be willing to get involved in a range of tasks based outside or in the office. Placements are usually undertaken part time for a 6 month duration. Applicants must be over 18 with a full driving licence.

You can find out more about the two AONBs, who we are and what we do on our websites: Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB and Dedham Vale AONB.

For an informal discussion or for more information please call Paula Booth on 01394 445225. To apply email your CV and covering letter to paula.booth@suffolk.gov.uk.
