Can you spare a few hours each week to help animals across Asia?

Animals Asia Foundation (www.animalsasia.org/uk) - Volunteers needed

Committed volunteers needed to help with administrative duties on-site in busy, friendly Plymouth office. We are seeking volunteers to commit to a morning/ afternoon, or one day a week on an ongoing basis. Help us to end bear bile farming, the trade of cat and dog meat in China and Vietnam, and to improve captive animal welfare across Asia!

Volunteer duties are mainly administrative, and will include data entry, donation processing and fundraising. You will have a good working knowledge of computers, and preferably have some database use experience, however training is provided.

Through volunteering with us you will gain valuable, and transferable admin skills. You will learn the fundamentals for how supporter care works within an animal welfare charity setting. Volunteering is a fantastic way to develop your career and open doors to new opportunities for yourself. Most importantly you will prove yourself a true friend to animals across Asia, and contribute to a fantastic cause.

Here’s what some of our past and present volunteers have to say about their time with us:

“I enjoyed the atmosphere in the office & everyone's willingness to help. Through learning about the charity, and the inspiring things it has achieved alongside its supporters I feel that my contribution made an impact on the positive work you do.”

“The team are incredibly welcoming and friendly, extending to the staff outside of the office too. The mutual understanding that runs through the charity and its volunteer roles makes the organisation stand out in terms of volunteering opportunities.”

“My favourite thing about volunteering for Animals Asia is the calm and relaxed environment, with patient staff (and lots of tea and coffee!). I have wholeheartedly enjoyed my experience here so far.”

Want an application form, or to ask any other questions? Feel free to contact us on 01752 224424 or at ukqueries@animalsasia.org.uk.

In the long term volunteers may need to have a DBS check due to dealing with personal data and sensitive information. Volunteers are also likely to come into contact with people under the age of 18 through their volunteering position.
