BTO harnesses the skills and passions of birdwatchers to advance our understanding of ornithology and produce impartial science, communicated so that it can be of benefit to everyone.

We are looking for a volunteer to join our communications team to assist in a variety of areas, such as content writing for social media, video filming and editing, managing photo databases, and networking with photographers.

If you have experience in some of these areas and an interest and enthusiasm for learning and developing in others then we would love to hear from you. 

You will join a friendly team and work alongside our Social Media Manager, Press Manager, Science Communications Manager, and Head of Communications; enabling you to develop knowledge, skills and experience whilst contributing across a range of important areas and helping to engage more people and a wider audience in BTO’s work.

We are looking for someone to volunteer for a minimum of one day a week, however days and hours are flexible to suit the individual. This may include some volunteering from home and/ or a few hours across several days.
