We are looking for someone to join our high performing reserves team working on a suite of sites across the Pebblebed Heaths in East Devon. The majority of these sites are designated (SSSI, SPA, SAC) and all sit within the East Devon AONB, a few miles inland from the stunning Jurassic Coast. Based at our Aylesbeare Common reserve you will play a key role delivering the management that supports a huge variety of wildlife species across our wet and dry heaths, woods, ponds and mire including specialist species such as nightjar, dartford warbler, southern damselfly and silver-studded blue. The job varies but consists of practical habitat management, survey work and provides opportunities to network across numerous organisations as well as receiving external training on relevant equipment and machinery in addition to developing existing skills such as leadership and project management with in-house support.

You will be enthusiastic and positive with the aptitude to work as part of a team and have a keen interest in wildlife and conservation. The ability to work outside in all weathers is essential. Minimum time commitment of 2 months although a longer placement of 4-6 months is desirable, as is a driving license. Accommodation is provided in eco log cabin comprising individual bedrooms and shared living areas. To apply please email a CV with a brief covering letter or call for more information. Minimum age 18.
