Closing date: Friday, 15th March 2019

Concerned about single use plastics? Annoyed by bottles, cans and other sources of litter clogging up our countryside and oceans? Keen to help find and promote solutions in Wales?

Friends of the Earth Cymru is looking for a communications and activism volunteer to help work on these issues.

The role is based in the FOE Cymru office in Cardiff and is also suitable for some home working. You will be working with a friendly and enthusiastic small team of staff and volunteers to help communicate the work we do on plastics and to help encourage people and communities to become active around these issues.

Ideally, you will have had experience of organising events and have used social media effectively to communicate issues. Amateur film making skills (on a phone or tablet), or a desire to learn, is a definite advantage.

The role will also involve some campaign research and networking with other interested groups and helping to communicate the great work that is already being done in communities around Wales.

It would suit someone able to work on their own initiative and who has a keen interest in environmental, plastics and climate change issues. The work is flexible, typically a day or two per week and the successful applicant will become part of a team working on these exciting campaigns.
