Operation Wallacea is a network of academics from European and North American universities who design and implement biodiversity and conservation management research programmes across 15 research sites worldwide.

We are currently recruiting entomologists to work at various locations. Positions will be from four to eight weeks between June and early August.

The position will involve carrying out entomological surveys as part of a large scale monitoring programme. Methods include pitfall trapping, light trapping and malaise traps. Applicants should have experience of working in remote areas, survey experience and a biology or geography related degree.

In return, successful applicants receive full accommodation and food onsite, networking and skills development, flight bursaries for more experienced candidates, and of course the opportunity to contribute towards long-term conservation efforts.
