If you have a keen interest in environmental education and would like a career in this area, this could be the perfect way to gain experience. Previous trainees have had a high rate of success finding employment and have found the Traineeship instrumental in helping them begin their career in this field.

Based at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre, in Oxfordshire, you will have the chance to be involved with our varied and exciting range of educational programmes. This will include assisting with and leading school group activities, both at the centre and offsite, planning and delivering events for families and developing resources. One teacher, visiting with a Year 1 group said “A fantastic day. Totally engaging and well paced to keep the children engaged throughout”. You could be a part of this.

This is a voluntary post offering a great opportunity for you to develop your skills in environmental education, build experience in working with children in an outdoor setting, and inspire the next generation in the varied and exciting grounds of our purpose-built education centre.

Applicants should have a strong interest in environmental education and conservation, working with children and enjoy engaging with people of all ages. Relevant volunteering or work experience is desirable.

A commitment of 2-3 days per week (8am - 4pm, with flexibility) for 6-12 months is essential. Preferred placement months, initially, are March – August.
