We are seeking 2 enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers aged 18+ to support in the delivery of the visitor engagement side of the Trust’s exciting Green Heart Project in Cockington Country Park.

This volunteer role offers the chance to gain skills and experience in areas such as:

  • Developing & delivering environmental & heritage education
  • Volunteer recruitment & management
  • Event development, delivery & management
  • Event marketing & advertising
  • Practical conservation & park maintenance
  • Ecological & surveying skills
  • First aid & experience in health & safety

Our volunteer placements allow individuals to get valuable hands on experience, training and support from our experienced Education and Estate teams. The Trust has an excellent reputation with 90% of individuals who have volunteered on long-term basis securing jobs in the environmental or education sector after their placement.

Volunteers are provided with free accommodation on site at Cockington Country Park; (this consists of en-suite rooms in the newly refurbished Gamekeeper’s Cottage, with communal areas shared with other volunteers).

The Trust will provide training relevant to the role, delivered by in-house and external training providers.

We are looking for people who could volunteer for around 30 - 37 hours per week over 4/5 days, with a degree of flexibility; this may include occasional evenings and weekends. Ideally you would be able to volunteer with us for a minimum of 6 months. We consider those who can volunteer on a part-time basis, please contact us to discuss.
