Volunteer will help on Nature Vibezzz community project Memories, Heritage and Community of Knights Hill Woods and Tivoli Park, West Norwood, Lambeth, London

Focusing on the historical & natural heritage of Knights Hill Wood and Tivoli Park. A series of free activities will be run at both sites open to the general public and tailor made for youth groups / community groups / schools. These will include historic heritage research techniques, practical nature conservation and wildlife identification techniques will be taught. We shall teach these techniques in order to preserve the heritage and increase the wildlife biodiversity of Knights Hill Wood and Tivoli Park for future generations.

Project volunteers under supervision of project staff will create at least 1 short film & a booklet looking at the historic heritage and natural heritage of the 2 sites.

The volunteer will work in a team to research heritage of project sites including finding old maps, photos, historic facts, information about site flora and fauna on internet, at Lambeth Archives and other sites.

  • Help write text for project booklet / blog posts / sign 
  • Help design booklet
  • Volunteer can also help with other aspects of Nature Vibezzz HLF project or other Nature Vibezzz projects

This role will include training will be provided by Lambeth Archives. 

 The filmmaking aspect of the project will include oral history interviews and training for this will be offered to volunteers.

The volunteer may need to be put through a DBS check if wish to be involved in aspsects of the project that will mean being in contact with vulnerable adults and children as part of the role

Volunteers can claim London off peak travel expenses
