This role provides a great opportunity to work within a dynamic ranger team in the glorious West Cornwall countryside and develop new skills and experience in conservation. The focus of this role will be outdoor, practical coast & countryside work, and may involve taking part in community events nearby.

By getting involved, you could

What's involved?

  • A long term volunteer ranger is a 12 month opportunity involved in the conservation and management of the West Cornwall estate including areas of SSSI, World heritage sites, AONB’s and over a hundred Scheduled monuments within a landscape with an intensity of archaeology that is rivalled by few places in Western Europe. We’ll help you get to know the West Cornwall Countryside and how you can help look after it, for ever, for everyone.

This role will suit people who

  • Enjoy working in the countryside and near the coast, who want to learn new skills and who need hands-on experience for a career in conservation. Will also suit people who enjoy being part of a dedicated team and enjoy engaging with members of the public.
  • Have a full, clean driving license and are a good communicator.

Extra information

  • We provide equipment to help you do this role well and safely
  • We’ll also cover agreed costs of your travel between home and West Cornwall Countryside
