This is a unique chance to lead a group of international volunteers on a conservation project in Scotland this summer, gaining meaningful leadership and conservation experience over two weeks! Our Volunteer Camp Leaders will live and work with a group of international volunteers for two weeks in July as we create a local nature reserve in Kilmarnock and carry out practical conservation tasks in the Country Park. You'll be motivating the group in their work, using your practical conservation experience to help them and your love of nature and the outdoors to motivate them. You'll also help them organise their leisure activities and cooking and cleaning rota.  The volunteer leaders will also introduce the volunteers to Scottish and British culture as well as supporting the volunteers practically and emotionally.

Are you available 29th June - 15th July?

If you're looking to gain valuable leadership experience with real responsibility in a short space of time, this could be the role for you! Ideally, you'll enjoy working practically whatever the weather, have some conservation experience, be approachable, enthusiastic and interested in other cultures.

What's in it for you?

  • Two days leadership and intercultural training
  • Meaningful experience in practical conservation
  • Genuine leadership experience with a group of volunteers doing conservation tasks
  • An unforgettable experience and new international friends
  • Learning about other cultures
