Why we want you

Help to welcome visitors to South Stack Visitor Centre and enhance their experience. Working with the visitor experience team, you would talk to customers as they arrive at the reserve telling them about what they can do that day. Also, provide information to the public about the wildlife they might see and the walks they can do.

What’s in it for you?

This role will suit someone who loves to meet and talk to visitors and who would gain satisfaction from passing on their passion about wildlife. It's also a great opportunity to work at a unique wildlife reserve learning more about nature, birds and wildlife whilst making a real difference to the work of the RSPB.

The skills you need

You'll need to have the confidence to strike up conversations with strangers, a desire to help, an enthusiasm for wildlife and conservation, but most important of all, you'll need a friendly demeanour and a ready smile!

Your time

Minimum commitment: 1 day per week but no essential

Duration: Ongoing

Period: All year

Appropriate training will be provided, and since you'll be giving up your time, it's only fair that we offer to re-imburse your travel expenses (up to 25 miles). Please note the South Stack reserve is quite remote and so own transport is useful as there is no public transport to the reserve.

The RSPB is the UK charity working to secure a healthy environment for birds and wildlife, helping to create a better world for all of us. We belong to BirdLife International, the global partnership of bird conservation organisations. Your time and skills could make a real difference to the work of the RSPB and it would be great if you could join us. Nature is amazing - help us keep it that way.
