Dorset Wildlife Trust are seeking enthusiastic individuals to assist at our popular Marine and Terrestrial Visitor Centres in Weymouth and Portland this summer. The successful applicants will gain valuable experience supporting the day-to-day running of our Centres, assisting with schools and public event programmes, and getting involved with the wide variety of tasks associated with running a busy Wildlife Visitor Centre. Training will be given in all aspects of the role. This is an unpaid opportunity for up to 4 days a week for 12 weeks starting in June, although longer placements and sandwich years will also be considered. The role would suit a student of marine or environmental biology, conservation or similar with career aspirations in marine/environmental education and awareness. Applicants must be able to confidently communicate with the public, willing to turn their hand to range of tasks, and have a passion for UK wildlife.
