ABCT is a local NGO based our of Siem Reap in Cambodia and presently is working in association with the Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre and the Ministry of Environment to promote alternative livlihoods in Phnom Kulen National Park (PKNP). We are curently looking to develop further livlihood opportunities through butterfly farming for communities in and around PKNP.

This project is for people who want to actively engage in community development, and conservation as well as gain valuable work experience. The work will involve a variety of tasks, including: project development, liaison with local NGOs and communities, farming of butterflies and other aspects of the day to day running of the project. Candidates need to be available for a minimum of three-six months. ABCT will provide work permits, local travel costs and accommodation. However as a volunteer you would need to cover your return airfare, insurance and additional living costs whilst in Cambodia. There is the potential for this to become a more permanent paid position for suitable candidates.

Experience of butterfly farming or experience in alternative livelihoods will be beneficial.
